Mississauga, Brampton and Vaughan are vibrant communities that also have a strong presence when it comes to entertainment. They may nurture a small-town feel, but they also host some of the most popular GTA festivals. There is always something up in one of the three cities, and here are some of the best festivals residents and visitors enjoy the most.

The Mississauga Waterfront Festival

With an average number of 70,000 visitors per year, this festival is one of the best rated in Ontario. It features a world-class setting in one of Mississauga’s most beautiful neighbourhoods, Port Credit, along the Credit River at the Memorial Park. Known as the family and friends festival, it offers fun activities for the whole family, great food, and open-air live concerts featuring some of the biggest music talents on the national and global levels. This year, it will be held from 14 to 16 June, so make sure to get a ticket and enjoy the 3-day party.

Peel Region Music Festival

At several locations, mostly in Brampton and Mississauga, the festival transforms the Peel Region with great music featuring young talents. It is one of Canada’s best-known music festivals, and it is almost 100 years old. It has a section for school choirs and ensembles to stay true to its nearly 100-year old tradition. The festival is run by volunteer music teachers and is an excellent way for young musicians to present themselves.

Bread And Honey Festival

The Bread and Honey Festival attracts a pretty big crowd every year with live performances for the whole family, games, how-to demonstrations and crafting for the little ones, carnival rides. There is a parade on the last day of the festival. During the festival, bread and honey are free.

Spring Fishing & Boat Show

This festival takes place every year at the International Centre in Mississauga. This is where boat and fishing lovers can hear exciting stories, various trips and tricks about life on the water from renowned guest speakers well-known in the industry. The exciting festival lasts for four days and attracts more people every year.

Taste of Brampton

Brampton Downtown restaurants and chefs make a spectacular show every year with their prix-fixe menus and special offers during the Brampton culinary festival. Bramptonians love to come and take a bite from the sharing platters offered at some of the most exquisite restaurants Brampton has. Held in February-March, the festival lasts for two weeks, so there is plenty of time to explore all participating restaurants.

Vaughan Pizzafest

Vaughan has been hosting a Pizzafest for four years now, and the festival attracts all pizza lovers. They love that they can eat pizza, desserts, and more for an entire weekend from different vendors while listening to great live acts and enjoying the music. The fun takes place at Interchange Park.
